September 2026
Clearer reports, carousels, and a lot more to read
A month of making your reports more accurate and the site more useful before you sign up.
- Competitor breakdowns now explain the hook, and key frames match the moments they're labelled with.
- Carousels are now part of your analysis, and cross-posted videos show combined numbers.
- Clearer billing: yearly plans in the app, and your trial end date in Settings.
- New on the site: a blog, an FAQ, comparison pages and a page for every feature.
Every feature now has its own page with a demo video
- Each feature has its own page with a short demo video, how it works, what you get and example use cases.
- The full transcript of every demo is one click away.
- The AI chatbot page explains why it beats a general chatbot: it has already seen your account.
- Browse them all at Features, or from the new Features column in the footer.
Compare Pattern with other creator tools
- An objective look at what each tool is good at, where Pattern fits better, and who should pick which.
- See them all at Compare.
Answers to the questions creators ask most
- A new FAQ page covering the questions creators ask most.
- Find it at FAQ or under About in the footer.
Pattern now has a blog
- Guides with useful tips for growing on Instagram and TikTok.
- Read it at Blog.
Key frames now show the moments they are labelled with
- Before, many videos showed four frames from the opening second, or the same final frame twice.
- Far more videos now get four frames from the right moments.
- When we cannot place the moments with confidence, Draft Review shows evenly spaced frames under "Frames from your video" instead of pretending they were chosen.
Every competitor breakdown now explains the hook
- Each competitor report gets its own "The Hook" section.
- It quotes the opening line as it was said, explains why it held attention, and shows how to use the same move on your own topic.
- Quotes are checked against the video's transcript before you see them. If we can't find it, we don't show it.
Competitor breakdown ideas that fit you
- Tell Pattern what you want to know more about in one line (optional).
Cross-posted videos show their combined numbers
- Post the same video on Instagram and TikTok, and Pattern now detects it and shows the combined total engagement.
Carousels are now part of your analysis
- Carousels get a format badge on your post list and in the post details.
- An analysed carousel shows its slides, just like a video shows its key frames.
Carousel and static photo posts are included in your analysis
- Pattern reads every slide, so your weekly analysis can explain why a carousel worked.
Follower growth shows the right direction
- The follower growth card now goes red when you lose followers, and green only when you gain them.
- Your weekly email follows the same rule, and shows no arrow when nothing changed.
Turn competitor ideas into shoot scripts
- Generate Script now works on every content idea in a Competitor Analysis report, on any paid plan.
- A script is saved once it is made, so reopening the report shows it again.
- In Your Voice, you can now edit a fact Pattern learned about you instead of only rejecting it.
See your plan and trial end date in Settings
- Settings shows your plan name and, while you're on a free trial, a badge and a countdown to the day it ends.
- It says plainly that you won't be charged before then, and that cancelling before then costs nothing.
- If you cancel, it shows the date your access ends instead of a next payment date.
Choose yearly billing from inside the app
- The subscribe screen has a Monthly/Yearly toggle, the same one on the pricing page.
- Pick yearly on the pricing page and it stays picked after you sign up.
- If you back out of checkout, you return to the plan you were buying, discount code included.
Consistent design across Calendar and Scheduled
August 2026
Easier to act on, and a lot of polish
August made Pattern easier to use every day.
- Your weekly analysis is easier to act on, with a Do Next checklist you can tick off.
- Ask the chatbot for a script and get a real one, built the same way as your weekly scripts.
- Better progress tracking and error handling in Draft Review and Competitor Analysis.
- Both tools work as soon as you subscribe, even before you finish setup.
- Improved mobile UX and UI.
Your weekly analysis is easier to act on
- Improvement Areas is a scannable list: the finding and its number first, with what you said and what to say instead one tap away.
- Do Next is a checklist you can tick off.
- One dismissible announcement at the top of your dashboard instead of two banners.
- A cleaner sidebar that shows which page you're on.
Upload Word documents to your knowledge base
- Add a .docx file alongside PDFs and text files, and the chatbot can answer from it straight away.
- Open the original file from your knowledge list with one click.
Ask the chatbot for a script and get a real one
- Chat now writes scripts the same way as the Generate Script button on your weekly plan.
- Hook ideas come from proven hook styles, labelled so you can see which one you're picking.
- If you haven't picked a hook yet, it offers two or three and asks first.
Improved our cross-posting and scheduling logic
Updated how Pattern works on mobile
Check your follower history on the chart
Better output and language in your reports
Useful emails during your free trial
- Day 1: the clearest pattern we found in your posts, and what to repeat.
- Day 3: one complete brief in the email, ready to film.
- If there's nothing worth sending, we don't send anything.
Watch your competitor breakdown come together
- A better progress bar and better error handling.
- When several videos run at once, each step shows how many are done.
Draft Review shows you what it's doing
- A five-step timeline from upload to finished review, with a timer on each step.
- Refresh mid-analysis and you pick up where you were.
Draft Review and Competitor Analysis work from day one
- Both tools work as soon as you subscribe, before you finish setup.
- Leave setup and come back, and you return to where you were.
Draft uploads no longer get stuck
- Improved error handling when an upload fails.
- Cancel an upload at any time.
- See real progress with a byte counter and time remaining.
July 2026
The free plan and the Pro plan launch
July opened Pattern up: a free plan for anyone to try it, and a Pro plan with an AI chatbot and cross-posting.
- Free plan: a free draft review or a free competitor breakdown, no subscription needed.
- Pro plan: an AI chatbot that knows your account, plus cross-posting and scheduling to Instagram and TikTok from one place.
- Draft Review is open to every creator, with a clear ready or needs-work verdict, where you might lose viewers, and a caption ready to paste.
- Pick your own cover frame when you cross-post.
- Improved the logic behind your weekly brief, so its ideas are better.
- Sharper hooks and scripts: more proven opening styles, full sentences, and fewer of your own stock phrases on repeat.
- Your weekly analysis now uses skip rate and watch time to tell a strong hook from a weak one.
- Stricter accuracy checks that stop your analysis citing posts that don't exist or inventing numbers.
- Competitor reports are shorter and easier to scan.
June 2026

May 2026
More control over your scripts and pillars
May gave you more say in what Pattern writes for you.
- Edit the hook and script Pattern writes before you film, and save your own version.
- Sign in or sign up with Google in one click.
- Add your own content pillars alongside the ones Pattern finds.
- Every video on a report opens into a full breakdown: hook type, key frames and why it worked.
- Scripts are built around the feeling you want viewers to have, and use real examples of your own voice.
- Weekly briefs pick up how you actually sound on camera, with hooks built from your real opening lines.
April 2026
Pattern launches in beta
Pattern opened to creators: connect Instagram and TikTok, and see what to post next and why.
- Paid plans: Creator, with Pro in progress.
- A content calendar: a calendar view to review all your content ideas, with drag to reschedule and archive.
- A step-by-step onboarding workflow that connects your accounts and gets your first analysis ready.
- Weekly briefs with how to film each idea, plus a full script and shot list in one click.
- Open any post to see its key frames, a full transcript and what worked in the visuals, audio and script.
- New creators see real analysis on day one instead of an empty dashboard.
